Reduce Text Block Width to Be Accessible (a11y)

Feature Request

There is currently no max-width for card containers when viewing them in the web app interface.

For the visual presentation of blocks of text…

Width is no more than 80 characters or glyphs (40 if CJK).

– W3C Recommendations WCAG § 1.4.8 Visual Presentation

I’ll note that I recognize (and empathize) with the fact that the current HTML is not using a system that makes it easy to target selectors and so this isn’t as easy as could be.

If you folks ever develop your own design system for the app and such, I’d be super grateful if you addressed this then! 🙏

    Hey @Skyler Reeves, we currently have a max width on card content in the app of slightly over 80 characters (it’s 900px, which is between 80-90 at our font size)

    The editor mode doesn’t have this same width restriction, however, which may be what you’re seeing with the accessibility concern?

    Can you confirm exactly which display UI this request is addressing?

      Sorry about that @Steve Bussey — I suppose I was experiencing this in the editor within the webapp. It appears the container with is good to go once saved, though.

      I think this may have been an issue isolated to text containers for Action Plans. See below.
