Improved Feature: Process Board Data Access Control

Previous state: Record visibility on a process board was limited to two options: everyone sees everything, or users see only records they own. The setting lived under the board's members control.

Improved state: Choose how records are shown to each user or group with three options, now managed in one place under general board access (records column):

  • Everything: see all records on the board.

  • Owned by group: see records owned by members of your group.

  • Owned by self: see only your own records.

How it works

  • Set access with per-user overrides, group-level rules, and a fallback for everyone else.

  • Permissions on a board apply to every sub-board under it.

  • To open Board Access: from the list view, click the board's menu and choose Edit, or open the board and click the Edit Board (gear) icon.

Benefits

  • Build a rep, manager, and executive visibility structure: reps see their own records, managers see their group's, executives see everything.

  • See the full permission structure of a board in one place.

  • Set permissions once on a parent board instead of on each sub-board.
